Chromic Oxide (Cr2O3) is also known as: Dichromium Trioxide, Chrome (III) Oxide, Chromium Sesquioxide, Chrome Oxide Green, Chromium (III) Oxide.

Chromic Oxide is used in the production of aerospace super-alloys and in the production of refractory bricks for glass and fibreglass kilns. Also, used as a pigment in paints, industrial coatings, ceramics, plastics and roofing tiles.

Resource Chemical are able to supply Chromic Oxide as the Elementis Chromium brand Accrox R

With a melting point of 2300°C, Chromic Oxide is commonly used in the production of refractory bricks to line metallurgical and glass furnaces and kilns.

Harder than other metal oxides, such as Titanium or Iron, Chromic Oxide is ideally suited to environments where temperature and process conditions are aggressive.

Chromic Oxide Accrox R is used in the refractory industry to make bricks, mortars, ramming mixes, gunning mixes, etc. to increase the life of refractory materials. It is also used as a pigment for ceramic tile.

Chromic Oxide is stored in the UK in 25KG bags.
